Midi Files are available for any piece that has sheet music. Also, the albums Songs of the Water Rose, The Copper Hat, Sentinel, Harmony Grove, Wind Chimes and Seven Valleys were originally recorded on a Yamaha Disklavier, so they have midi files for each song. Midi files are a great tool for learning a song, allowing a closer look at each note, chord, and how the whole song fits together.
The program Synthesia is a good way to help learn a song using the midi file. Each note scrolls down toward a virtual keyboard, making identification of each note easier.
You may purchase multiple files, but they have to be limited to the transcribed catalog or the CD’s mentioned above.
